I unfortunately slept through Microsoft’s presentation and I regret doing so since they showed off some pretty cool stuff. I have yet to purchase a Xbox One but I think now with the Xbox One being $349 and the announcements made at this E3, I will make room in my entertainment center for it.

The first bit of news I saw after the event was the announcement of the Rare collection. I am a huge fan of Rare; games like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day fill me with nostalgia of my childhood and are some of my favorite games of all time. Hopefully these games that come in the collection will be tweaked but honestly, I look forward to playing them again no matter what.

Next was their elite controller which looks really cool but with a price tag of $150, I think I will stick to the regular controller.

Microsoft also announced that the Xbox One will be backwards compatible with some Xbox 360 titles. This is really good news since my Xbox 360 is loud when it plays games and there are still some Xbox 360 games that I have yet to play.

Microsoft had a good E3 but the announcements I enjoyed the most dealt with things of the past which in my opinion is not really a good thing. Now to wait for a Xbox One sale.
